Sub-Topic: Do that which is Good!

State authorities are commissioned by God Almighty. Therefore this is a very good reason why everyone must respect state authorities. Another good reason is that it is an act of a good conscience toward God Almighty to do so. Each State, for example, “The Cooperative Republic of Guyana” has a constitution.

Constitution in public Law is defined as:

“The organic and fundamental law of a nation or state, which may be written or unwritten, establishing the character and conception of Its government, laying the basic principles to which its internal life is to be conformed, organizing the government, and regulating, distributing, and limiting the functions of its different departments, and prescribing the extent and manner of the exercise of sovereign powers.

It is a responsibility of the Head of State in the execution of the function of that noble office “to honor, uphold, and preserve the constitution of his Country.”

Concerning Guyana, the steady public reports of the Forensic Audit, morning, noon, and night are shouting “Corruption!”

 What is corruption?

Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.[1] Corruption may include many activities including bribery and embezzlement, though it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries.[2] Government, or ‘political’, corruption occurs when an office-holder or other governmental employee acts in an official capacity for personal gain.

The word corrupt when used as an adjective literally means “utterly broken”.[3] The word was first used by Aristotle and later by Cicero who added the terms bribe and abandonment of good habits.[4][dubious  discuss] Stephen D. Morris,[5] a professor of politics, writes that [political] corruption is the illegitimate use of public power to benefit a private interest.

Economist Ian Senior[6] defines corruption as an action to (a) secretly provide (b) a good or a service to a third party (c) so that he or she can influence certain actions which (d) benefit the corrupt, a third party, or both (e) in which the corrupt agent has authority. Daniel Kaufmann,[7] from the World Bank, extends the concept to include ‘legal corruption’ in which power is abused within the confines of the law — as those with power often have the ability to make laws for their protection.

Instead of Corruption, Integrity is the way to go. What is Integrity?

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. It is generally a personal choice to uphold oneself to consistent moral and ethical standards.[1]

In ethics, integrity is regarded by many people as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one’s actions. Integrity can stand in opposition to hypocrisy,[2] in that judging with the standards of integrity involves regarding internal consistency as a virtue, and suggests that parties holding within themselves apparently conflicting values should account for the discrepancy or alter their beliefs. The word integrity evolved from the Latin adjective integer, meaning whole or complete.[3] In this context, integrity is the inner sense of “wholeness” deriving from qualities such as honesty and consistency of character. As such, one may judge that others “have integrity” to the extent that they act according to the values, beliefs and principles they claim to hold.

Significant attention is given to the subject of integrity in law and the conception of law in 20th century philosophy of law and jurisprudence centering in part on the research of Ronald Dworkin as studied in his book Law’s Empire. Dworkin’s position on integrity in law reinforces the conception of justice viewed as fairness.

value system‘s abstraction depth and range of applicable interaction may also function as significant factors in identifying integrity due to their congruence or lack of congruence with observation. A value system may evolve in a while,[4] while retaining integrity if those who espouse the values account for and resolve inconsistencies.[5]

 Part of the Coalition’s role

The Coalition in power is  Almighty  God’s doing: The Forensic Audit is a tool used to identify corruption at that level of Government. The all power is in the hands of God, and He is working through the Coalition to deliver Guyana from Corruption, and instead, bless her among other blessings with wisdom, Transparency and Integrity.

With God’s help, Integrity is and will be a principle word establishing the nature and perception of the government of Guyana. And Integrity demonstrated at this high level will certainly impact our whole Society and beyond in a positive way. Thus to maintain this high moral standard; passing an Integrity Test should be a criterion before considering any individual for Presidential Candidate, or a Prime Minister, or a Minister, or a Permanent Secretary, or a member of Parliament. Raise the standard of these noble offices is recommended.

Let’s stand up for Integrity!

Fellow Guyanese, Integrity will always stamp out Corruption from within and without, and justice will be served. Remember crime does not pay off in the end. The Law is a year and a day. No man is above the Law.

Let us return to God. Repent and do that which is good, in Christ’s name! Peace.

Redeeming Luv.

With that being said, below is a link with the swearing in of our President. I have not found any link with the swearing of our Prime Minister. Please click link. Enjoy.
