Message

About earthen vessels

Throughout the centuries man has been using earthen vessels to hide their treasures, and it is a fact that the archaeological spade has unearthed so many of these clay vessels to this date. However, our chat today is not about treasures in clay pots buried in the earth …, but instead, it is about God’s treasure among us, His “Earthen Vessels” and New Creation in Christ. [11 Corinthians 4: 7] It is written:

“…For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commandeth the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthly vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God ad not of us.” [11 Corinthians 4: 5-7]

Beloved, today out of darkness, God’s light does not only continue to shine in the physical universe, but also, in the hearts of His New Creation in Christ —His spiritual universe. And this light which He has made possible through His mercies enlightens us by revelation of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. And as the heavens declare His glory and the firmament shows His handiwork [Psalm 19: 1], even so does His New Creation in Christ, who through the light and power of the Gospel of Christ reflects His glory, while the advancement of the kingdom of God and of Christ on earth demonstrates Yahweh’s handiwork, which is the fruit and harvest of souls, even as we spread the Good News of Christ, by faith.

An Amazing truth

Beloved, it is amazing how out of the darkness of Saul of Tarsus’ veiled heart, Yahweh’s light shined, and with that treasure of God from within his physical body, Saul who became Paul the Apostle with the veil removed from his heart after he was converted to Christ wrote:

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”[11 Corinthians 4:7]

The reality of living by faith

And with the full understanding Paul in his letter to Corinthians Saints in Christ wrote, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distress; we are perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake that the live also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believe, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus Christ shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace through the thanksgiving of many rebound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man may perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding and external weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”[11 Corinthians 4: 8-18]

Prayer

That the veil on our hearts be removed that out of our darkness may shine Yahweh’s light, even we adhere to the Gospel of Christ. And that we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are change into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord,” is my prayer. [11 Corinthians 3:18] Amen.

Message

Believers in Christ have hope

Beloved, seeing that we, His New Creation in Christ, have much hope in a more excellent ministration of the Spirit of God, and thus, of righteousness in that it exceeds in glory the previous abandoned ministration of death, and thus, of condemnation: our role in Christ is to liberate those who have been left behind in spiritual bondage due to blindness of the mind and of their understanding of the power of faith in Christ. Let us give thanks to Yahweh our heavenly Father for His mercy towards us by giving us this glorious ministry of sharing the pure Gospel of Christ to whosoever will gladly receive it. [11 Corinthians 3:9-12]

Our Role

Our role as we go tell the pure Gospel of Christ the Son of God to others is to point them to Christ, and to help them to understand that He is Lord of all. We are to ensure that our daily lifestyle is exemplary so much so that it might have a positive impact on others around us and our society as a whole, for example, the Gospel Effect on Thessalonica so proudly revealed in the scripture which says, “These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also…” [Acts 1:6] As a result, let us work towards this said Gospel Effect, that today we might say as the Saints of the First Century: “if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them.” [11 Corinthians 4: 3-4]

About the brightness of His glory and our aim

Beloved, in creating the physical universe just as how Yahweh commanded the natural light to shine out of darkness when He said, “Let there be light”: and there was light [Genesis 1:3] : in creating His New Creation in Christ, that is, all who believe from the heart the Gospel of Christ, Yahweh the very “God and Father of Jesus Christ, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” [11 Corinthians 4: 6] It is factual that this light is not like the literal one, but it is the brightness of His glory that is shining in the face of Christ His Son.

Thus as we go tell people about the Gospel of Christ it is important to note also that the brightness of Yahweh’s glory is shining in the face of Jesus Christ, is shining in ours in as well through Christ who dwells in us, and that our aim is to give all the Gospel light of Christ that it may shine on them also.

It is normal Yahweh’s glory shines in the face of His servants

Beloved it is not a strange occurrence when Yahweh’s glory shines in the face of His servants, for example, during the previous “ministration of death, written and engraved in stones” it shone on Moses’ face and the children of Israel were eye witnesses to that. It is written, “… And it came to pass when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand … that Moses wist not (knew not) that the skin of His face shone while He talk with Him. And when Aaron and the children of Israel saw Moses, behold the skin of His face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh (near) him…. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with Him (God).” [Exodus 34: 29-35] But again that glory on Moses’ face “was to be done away.” [11 Corinthians 3:7] And the current glory which succeeded it (that glory on Moses’ face) is a more glorious one through the ministration of the New Testament/ Covenant notably, the glorious light of God is shining in the face of Jesus Christ,” and God’s light has been shining in Believers’ hearts to ensure that we have knowledge of this truth. [11 Corinthians 4: 6] Let us give thanks to Yahweh for the Gospel of Jesus Christ through which the ministration of the Spirit is made known.

Finally

Finally, my Beloved, let us remember that the effects of reading the Old Testament without the understanding that it is fulfilled in the New Testament are: (1) blinded minds, for unto this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is taken away in Christ,” (2) “even unto this day when Moses is read the veil is upon the heart.” [11 Corinthians 3:14] and (3) their closed minds to Christ keep this religious group in bondage and in hopelessness: and not until their minds turn to Christ will they have hope and receive His free gift of salvation: so that Yahweh’s glory shining in the face of His Christ His Son may shine on them also.

Encouragement for all Seekers of truth

Are you seeking for truth and real life? Read the New Testament also. Christ is the way, the truth and the life…! [John 14: 6] Also Christ is the solution to your every crisis! Come unto Christ today by faith! He will put a genuine smile on your face, give you a new heart of love, and turn your darkest night into light so marvelous that it would keep on shining in your heart and through your New Lifestyle in Christ. Message

The “Ministration of death” vs “the Ministration of the Spirit”

It is wise to know some contrast between the Ministration of death, and the Ministration of the Spirit. The “Ministration of death written on tablets of stones, was undoubtedly glorious so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of His countenance, which glory was done away” [11 Corinthians 3: 7]: but the “Ministration of the (Holy) Spirit is much more glorious” by comparison in that it surpassed it in glory, since it gives life to all who believe. [11 Corinthians 3: 9]

One cannot but admire the results of the ministration of the Holy Spirit through the guided efforts of true ministers in the New Testament, who preach the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ. Unlike those of the flesh who big-Up themselves and come with long letters of recommendation to impress … the only recommendation needed is the work of a true minister of the New Testament which would reflect those believers whose hearts have been genuinely changed by the power of Christ as he/she ministers the Gospel to the people. With reference to the First Century Church, Paul the Apostle declared:

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. For as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God: not in tablets of stone, but by the fleshly tables of the heart.” [11 Corinthians 3: 3]

The ministration of the Holy Spirit in its fullness began when it was out poured upon all flesh at “the time of Reformation,” [Hebrews 9: 10-11] that is, in A.D.33-34. Interestingly, Yahweh our heavenly Father abandoned that imperfect Levitical old system with its lesser glory and light— best described by the scripture as the “ministration of death written and engraved in stones.” [11 Corinthians 3:7]: and having moved it out of the way He enabled the New Covenant with the ”ministration of righteousness” and of the Spirit which exceeded the previous one in glory. It is written:

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of His countenance; which glory was to be done away: how shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect,

by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious: much more that which remaineth is glorious.” [11 Corinthians 3:7-11]

Unlike the ministration of the Old Covenant which specified that, “As many as are of the works of the law are under the curse …” [Galatians 3:10] because “the letter killeth”: the ministration of the New Covenant is one “of the Spirit,” which leads to life for all of us, who believe and are born again. [John 3: 3 & 6] Those of us who are born again are God’s New Creation in Christ; [11 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:10] and we are full of life because “the Spirit giveth life.” [11 Corinthians 3: 6] And we have “hope,” and eternal life and thus, speak and/or write with boldness. Let us give Yahweh glory. Hallelujaaaaaaah!!!

Beloved, as a result of the ministration of the New Testament which gives us hope, we speak with boldness: and not as Moses, who “put a veil over his face that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that (the law) which is abolished.” According to the scriptures, “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament, which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read the veil is upon their hearts.”[11 Corinthians 3: 13-15]

Blindness of the Minds (BoM)

Blindness of the Mind (BoM) is the biblical diagnosis of the minds of all those, who still embrace the abandoned old covenant either in part or as a whole to this date. The Good News, however, is that the figurative Virus namely, “The Veil,” which is the root cause of “BOM,” “is done away in Christ.” [11 Corinthians 3: 14] Thus the real cure is readily available for victims of “BoM” that is, when their minds “shall turn to the Lord.” [11 Corinthians 3:16] “And the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty/freedom.” [11 Corinthians 3: 17 ]

It is pathetic that in the twenty first century there is so much confusion in the minds of multitudes about what pertains to the dispensation of law, what pertains to the dispensation of Grace, what Yahweh our heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom has abandoned and what He has enforced. Yahweh is not the author of confusion. The Scriptures confirm the shift from the Dispensation of the Law to the Dispensation of Grace and give us specific directions for our smooth transition into the latter. Yahweh is not a dead God either: instead, He is the only one true and living God. And as a result, He is always on the move in keeping with His plan of salvation for all Nations worldwide.

It is interesting to note that:

The Dispensation of the Law just catered for the people of Israel, a rivulet whom He preserved to bring forth the Messiah, that is, the very JESUS the Christ, who would died for the sins of the whole world …. [John 3:16-17], and
The Law served as a schoolmaster to bring Israel to Christ. And after Christ came on the scene there was no need for the law anymore because it could not save them who served it: instead, Christ became their real need because there is salvation in His name, hence the shift from Law and Curse to Redemption by faith. It is written:

“And the law is not of faith: but, the man that doeth them shall live in them.” [Galatians 3:13] Christ has already become a curse for all who serve the law by allowing Himself to be hung on a tree: for it is written, “Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: [Galatians 3:13, Deuteronomy 21: 23] “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles (all nations that did not know Almighty God) through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” [Galatians 3:14]

The blessing of Abraham is not in his “seeds,” but in Christ His “Seed”

Bless Yahweh for ever, the Good News for all and especially for those who serve the Law is that the blessing of Abraham is not in his “seeds” meaning his children according to the flesh: but rather, the blessings of Abraham are in his “seed,” namely, Christ! According to the scriptures, Yahweh made the promises to Abraham and his seed. It is written:

“Now to Abraham and to his seed were the promises made. He said not, and to seeds as of many; but as one, and to thy seed which is Christ.” [Galatians 3:16]

Beloved, it is noteworthy that Christ referred to as the “Seed” was in the loins of father Abraham when God made the promises to them. And the fact that Christ has an endless life, believers in Christ in every generation who are born again are: a New Creation in Christ Jesus, joint heirs with Him and Children of the Most High by promise. [Galatians 3: 26] Besides, Christ is the key that opens the windows of blessings stored-Up in heaven for all peoples in every nation, who put their trust in Yahweh our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. And more Good News for all is:

It is proven that both Jews and Gentiles are under sin and therefore, “there is none righteous not one….” [Romans 3: 9-10] The scripture has concluded all under sin “that the promise of faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.” [Galatians 3: 22]
“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” [Romans 3:19-20]
“But that no man is justified y the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith.” Galatians 3: 11]
“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” [Romans 3: 21-23]

Beloved, unlike “that which is done away,”[11 Corinthians 3: 11] that is, the temporary and now hopeless ministration of the Old Covenant labeled by the scriptures “Ministration of death, written and engraved in stones” [11 Corinthians 3: 7] and “Ministration of condemnation” [11 Corinthians 3: 9]: “that which remaineth” [11 Corinthians 3: 11] that is, the ministration of the New Covenant labeled by the scriptures, “Ministration of the Spirit” [11 Corinthians 3: 8], and ministration of righteousness,” [11 Corinthians 3: 9] gives us much “Hope.”[11 Corinthians 3: 12]

The ministration of righteousness is the righteousness of God without the law and it is currently manifested. It is a New Way God sanctioned and put in place for all who believe when He put away permanently the ministration of the Old Covenant. Thankfully, God our heavenly Father’s new requirement for righteousness is, “The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference….” [Romans 3: 21-22] Bless God.

A Word for those who still attempt to serve the law

Beloved, the New Way God the heavenly Father sanctioned was made possible by Jesus the Christ His Son for all mankind who believe. Now concerning those who still serve the law, there is redemption for you because Christ, “being made a curse” for all who are under the curse of the law, has been redeeming thousands among them who believe. The wisdom of God’s plan of redemption is to unite all nations who believe in Christ so that we may receive in common “the promise of the Spirit through faith.” [Galatians 3:13] Thank Yahweh for His mercies and grace.

Remember the Old Testament law is not of “faith!” As a result, by it (the law) no man is justified (stands guiltless) in the sight of God and therefore those, who serve the law are hopeless until they turn their minds to Christ. But in the New Testament Kingdom of God and of Christ, there is much hope and liberty for His New Creation in Christ because of the “ministration of the Spirit” [11Corinthians 3: 9] “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” [11 Corinthians 3:17]

Beloved, let us pray for liberty/freedom from “BoM” and from sin first for ourselves, and second, on behalf of all victims —of “BoM” for it presents itself in all assorted flavors and forms from within us. And turning to Christ is the only solution to this Global Epidemic. Amen.
