Wilson Guy #3: 06: 24
Message:
Greetings and thanksgiving
“Beloved, grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father,” to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. [Galatians 1: 3-5]
I thank Yahweh our merciful and gracious heavenly Father, for the privilege of sharing yet another inspired message with us, that is, on your device. The Gospel I present to you is not new, but it is the same Gospel preached by Peter and the rest of the Apostles who walked with Jesus; and by Paul, who was made an Apostle by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Christ from the dead.” [Galatians 1: 1]
Thus the true Gospel is about Jesus the Christ the Son of God, that we might know Yahweh the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent, —the same is Jesus’ definition of Eternal life. [John 17:3]
God the Father’s Revelation through Peter, and His proof of who Jesus really is
As it was in the first century, when the doubters and the confused who followed them said that Jesus the Christ was John the Baptist, and another set said that He was Elijah, while others said that He was Jeremiah, or one of the prophets: so it is in the twenty first century today with those who say that Jesus the Christ is: God the Father, or a prophet only, or some negative thing.
Interestingly, Jesus the Christ, when He went into the Coast of Caesarea, Philippi, asked His Disciples saying: “But whom say ye that I the am?” And Simon Peter answered and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” [Matthew 16:15-16]
Beloved, Jesus’ response to Simon Peter was, “Blessed art thou Simon Bar-jona; for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” [Matthew 16:17]
And Jesus who always spoke about His heavenly Father, who sent Him, never gave His Disciples or any one the impression that He was God the Father. As a matter of fact, in his conversation with His Disciples, He made it abundantly clear to them that, “In His Father’s house are many mansions,” and that He was going to prepare a place for them and would return and receive them unto Himself. Subsequently, He said to them, “And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” [John 14:1-4] But, Thomas spoke on behalf of the Disciples when he said to Jesus, “We know (understand) not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way? [John 14: 5] In His response to Thomas’ searching question, Jesus answered his last question first and made them to understand that He is the way to the Father, when He said to them, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.” [John 14: 6-7]
Question: If Jesus the Christ were the Father Himself would he have said, “… No man cometh unto the Father but by me?”
The impact of Jesus’ statement on Philip
The impact of Jesus’ statement on Philip was evident since it aroused his curiosity and further challenged Jesus to show them the Father when he said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father and it sufficeth (will satisfy) us.” [John 14: 8] After chiding Philip personally about being so long with Him and yet did not know (understand) Him, Jesus asked him a soul searching question:
“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works.” Believe me that I am in the Father: and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works sake.” [John 14:10]
It is incumbent that by faith each believer from the heart believes and UNDERSTANDS Jesus Christ’s declaration which says, “I am in the Father: and the Father in me.” And for those who must see the Father to believe, may see Him through the very works He did through Jesus Christ, His Son.
A related scriptural fact
A related scriptural fact outside the circle of Christ and His disciples that is important to note is Nicodemus’ conversation with Jesus the Christ. Impressed by the works of Jesus , Nicodemus a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews, went to Him and confessed that the Pharisees knew that He was a teacher, who came from God the Father, and that no man could do those miracles except God be with Him. (Those miracles reflected the kingdom of God and its power and authority, but by only knowing that God the heavenly Father was with Jesus doing the miracles was not enough.) So Jesus said to Nicodemus:
“Except a man be born again he cannot see (recognize) the kingdom of God.” [John 3:3 &5]
Again,
“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” [John 3: 5]
Beloved, it is abundantly clear that one cannot recognize the kingdom of God in the light of the New Testament unless he/she is born again, or experiences a New Birth by faith in Christ, let alone to enter personally therein. When one is born again he sees or understands God the Father, and Jesus the Christ, whom He has sent, even as he/she reads and studies the pure Word prayerfully. Also he/she comes to know that Christ Jesus is not the Father, but instead, the Father is in Christ and vice versa. [John 14: 10; 17: 21] Besides, the Believer experiences the Father personally, since the works of the heavenly Father is manifested in the Believer’s works according to the will and purpose of God for his/her life. For example, as for me, I personally put in writing what the heavenly Father shows me in visions, or inspires me to write, and this is only possible through Christ Jesus, who dwells within me. You see, the Spirit of God communicates with me through my spirit: and I share these inspired messages with us on this website. Blessed be the name of Yahweh. Beloved, there is no limit to what a believer in Christ can do through Him; it is beyond the sky. Paul attest to this truth in Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.”
And remember what Jesus the Christ said:
“… He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father.” [John 14:12]
Beloved, believe the scriptures! Stand upon the Word of God and its promises, and liberate yourself by faith from all bondage and the present spirit of confusion that teaches Jesus Christ is God the Father, and other teachings that are not in line with the Word! Know, and make known to others that Yahweh our heavenly Father is distinct from Christ His Son—“the Word made flesh.”
Without controversy
The scriptures made it abundantly clear that without controversy great is the mystery of godliness — the godly life was revealed in the flesh of Jesus the Christ. (“The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” John 1: 14, 1 John 1: 1-2) And Jesus’ spotless life was confirmed by the Spirit. Angels visited and even ministered unto Him. He (Jesus the Christ) was preached unto the Gentiles and was believed on in the world, and received up into glory.” [1 Timothy 3: 16]
Believe: “… God was in Christ, (the body of Jesus) reconciling the world unto Himself ….” [11 Corinthians 5:19]
Finally, let us live the Word by example:
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love. In this is manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby we know that we dwell in Him, and He is in us because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him, and he in God. [1 John 4:7-16]
Pray without ceasing
Let us pray for a worldwide rebirth of the true Gospel of Jesus to be preached and lived among us, who share a common salvation, this Twenty First Century, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Beloved, let us earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints! [Jude verse 3]
